Microneedling – $325

 Microneedling, called Collagen Induction Therapy, is performed using a pen-style device and tiny precise needles that create micro-wounds in the skin. These punctures do not leave scars; they work by helping to stimulate the skin and collagen to repair itself naturally through a process called dermal remodeling. This process starts with inflammation, which enables the skin to produce new collagen (the elastic fibers that make the skin tight, smooth, and youthful).

The procedure causes short-term swelling, redness, and skin flaking, which can last for a few days despite little to no downtime. The treated area will likely remain slightly flushed for 24-48 hours, and you may have a “sunburn” sensation during that time. Avoid active products during this time. The skin may begin to flake light for up to 7 days. This is a sign that the cells are turning over and regenerating, also, in turn, stimulating increased collagen production. Once your skin clears up, you’ll notice an immediate dewy, glowy complexion and new plumpness in your skin. Keeping the skin hydrated over a few days is essential to restore the cells. Most people can return to wearing regular makeup within 24 hours of treatment. The skin will be more sun-sensitive after treatment, so sunscreen is also advised.

For best results, treatments are recommended and typically done in a series. Three treatments for mild concerns and six for moderate problems spaced four to six weeks apart. These visits are to be done monthly to achieve desired results. After the initial treatment plan has been executed, plan “maintenance” treatments quarterly to maintain results.
